Despite the issues and mistrust with the Carlisles, Harper still retains a somewhat relationship with them but considers them enemies more than allies. If anything she keeps a slim amount of contact for Shadow’s sake, just in case they decide to make a move against her or the pair of them. She’s willing to offer information at their request but has her limitations with giving them certain things, any info on CHROME is a no go.

Skylars | Relationship: Attack/Kill on sight

The Sklars are a rival gang that the Quinns have been fighting against for years. Losses have been made on both sides, Anya’s sister in particular where she was ambushed and killed. The relationship is between these two is attack and kill on sight, no mercy on either side. Harper has encountered the gang many times and has been able to hold a slight dominance over them, as of now she has more members on side at her disposal.

Stubborn: She’s stubborn in just about every situation she’s put in, it can be good on some levels but on others it can put her at a disadvantage.

Headstrong: This works in tandem with her stubbornness but this quality benefits her more, she won’t back down from something she knows she can do and this pushes her further to reach a goal.  

Calculated: She learnt from a young age to be calculated, she often finds herself analysing situations and conversations without even thinking about it. It was a valued trait when she was in the thick of the Informant life but now she uses it for less lethal reasons.

Loyal/Protective: Her loyalty to her loved ones is unbreakable, she’d do whatever possible to help them in any situation, even if that situation would put her in danger. She’s also rather protective, she knows who is important to her and would keep them safe by any means possible

Caring: Despite her negative traits, she’s caring and loving to her friends and family. She was taught this by her parents, even though they are the bad guys in a sense that doesn’t mean they’re evil to one another.

Born the youngest of 6 older siblings in Bordeaux France, Harper was also born the youngest twin of her and her brother Hayden. The birth itself was a struggle and a miracle, twins were extremely uncommon for choppers to have and having them both survive was more than enough to prove luck was their side and convince their parents that they’d both be strong. And considering the family they were born into, it would be needed. The twins were privately schooled in France for roughly 10 years, moving to America to be with the rest of their family and continue their education there, they were also taught the finer points of being in the Quinn family. A matriarch lead mob lead by their mother Naeva and their father Seth at her side, the chopper family were responsible for smuggling, forging papers, counterfeiting and their most well known traits of being informants and occasionally dishing out hits requested by others, vendetta’s were fun to settle in their eyes.

Though young, Harper and Hayden were exposed to this lifestyle gradually, the Quinns were not a family to be messed with but they cared for one another like a regular family, if not a little fiercer than most. At the age of 11, Harper accompanied her mother on a ‘business trip’ to talk with a group of cars known as the Carlisles, the leader had contacted Naeva and requested a meeting and she believed bringing Harper along would be a chance to learn how to make ‘friends’ in this world. Upon meeting them, though the green car was friendly to her, she didn’t like her at all, the feeling she got from her made her tank twist and she stuck close to her mother. That was until she was then introduced to a little black Celica named Shadow, she was told to go play whilst the adults spoke.

The meetings between the Carlisles and the Quinns continued for a few years and Harper had become very attached to Shadow, but over the years she learnt of the abuse she was exposed to, the Celica always looked so broken and it killed her to see her friend so beat down, a few times she begged her mother to let her come home with them but she declined, it wasn’t their business after all, even if she did disagree with what was going on. All she could do now was be there for Shadow so she kept up close contact with the other family.

Teens

Now into her late teens, Harper was starting to look and act how a Quinn should, she was helping more and more with their line of business and like her twin was given a small troupe to watch over with a territory to keep an eye on, they had enemies after all and keeping them at bay was a constant job. It was during this time that she came face to face with the leader’s son of the Skylars, another chopper by the name of Noah. He attempted to woo Harper, banging on about them having a Romeo and Juliet style relationship, but she refused (multiple times) and this lead to him being violent towards her, well, try to, she’d been taught to fight from a young age and despite being younger and smaller, she was able to fight him off with the help of her troupe. He turned tail and retreated but the encounter didn’t stay quiet and an extremely tense meeting between the Quinns and the Skylars was made, Harper and all her siblings were present along with the Skylar brats, they accused her of throwing herself at Noah which sparked an onslaught of insults on both sides but before it could go any further, Celine, the eldest sister managed to stop it all, calling a truce where both Harper and Noah will stay away from each other, any breach on this would not be met with any mercy.

Months had passed without incident, both the families keeping up the truce, both Naeva and Seth were proud that they were able to settle what had happened without them but tensions were still high between the two families. Harper had flourished in those months, her troupe had grown and she was becoming a skilled informant, her photographic memory had been honed during this time and she used it to her full advantage. Something had been bothering the chopper however, she hadn’t heard from Shadow in a long while and she was extremely worried about her, she’d requested meetings with her family but had been turned down multiple times, they were dealing with ‘issues’ apparently.

One evening, she was out on patrol when a message from an unknown source said to meet them. Though sceptical, something was telling her it might have something do with Shadow so she agreed to meet them. On top of a skyscraper waited a smart looking car, he wasn’t from around here that was for sure. He informed the chopper that he was passing on a message from ‘A silly car’, that she had escaped her family and was currently in a safe place but the whereabouts of this place couldn’t be told to her. She didn’t quite believe it at first, thinking that this car just worked for her family and was lying but during these years she’d become an excellent judge of character.. And he didn’t come off as someone who would work for the Carlisles. She decided to believe him and asked he send a message back to her, that they’d find each other again no matter what. With that, the car left and Harper remained on the skyscraper for a long time, thinking over what had just been told to her.. Shadow had to be safe, she just had to be.

Adult (20-22)

Harper was at the top of her game by the time she reached her 20’s, she was in charge of the Informant side of the business and had a nact for organising and carrying out vendetta’s for those who requested them, she stayed away from the hit jobs as much as possible, she’d help with the ‘herding’ of the target but she didn’t carry out the final act. A reputation had been built during these years, rivals had learnt not to mess with her and that she didn’t need her siblings with her to show this, she was a force to be reckoned with. However, though she held up the facade, part of her hated how she was, she often wondered what it would be like to just up and leave and live a life that was ‘normal’, but she didn’t have the heart to leave her family.

No other real encounters with the Skylars had been made, she hadn’t seen Noah in years in fact and wondered if he was still in the area but that was proven wrong when they encountered one another on a helipad on top a skyscraper. It was relatively peaceful, until he tried to hit on her again which she refused with a more venomous tone compared to last time, threatening to toss him off the roof if he got any closer. He ignored her and attacked, he was having her one way or another. The two fought and Noah appeared to have the upper hand but Harper was a lot stronger than she seemed; He managed to get on top of her but an adrenaline rush gave her the strength to toss him off, blind with rage, she rammed into the chopper and knocked him off the roof. When she realised what she’d done however, she raced back home, breaking down as she found her mother and told her what happened. They knew this was serious but the also knew that the Skylars wouldn’t believe them, that Noah broke the truce and she did what she did in self defense. Harper however wanted to face them, she wasn’t backing down from this.

The two families met and Harper was shocked to find that Noah had survived the fall, he was critical but alive and of course she was blamed for breaking the truce despite her protests, they simply didn’t believe such a small chopper could battle against a full size one and win. So she decided to prove she could; She challenged one of them to a fight and of all the brats to accepted, the leader, Isla accepted. Whoever was downed first was the winner.

The fight was vicious, dents were made, oil was spilled, rotors were snapped and glass panels were broken and it was starting to look like Harper wasn’t going to win this, until some insults were tossed her way about herself and her family, her temper flared once more and she charged at the older chopper, managing to dodge her snapping jaws and ramming her nose under belly then shoving the chopper roughly on side, she took this chance to grab a shard of scrap metal in her teeth and threatened to stab right into the other choppers tank but relented when she surrendered. Harper backed off as the Skylars helped their leader and she begrudgingly admitted defeat and that she could have beaten Noah. Battered and bruised, she was taken home to recover.

Adult (25+)

Years had passed since that incident and things were relatively normal, no further contact had really been made the Skylars spare the odd scrap but apart from that, they seemed to be keeping their distance since the showdown. Harper however was growing a little tired of this life, she knew her parents had little get away places but she wanted to find her own one. After a talk with her parents, they thought it best for her to take a break for a while, they’d watch her turf for her until she got back. She decided to travel the world for a while and whilst in Thailand, her GPS started to flash, alerting her that Shadow was near by and lo and behold, she found the little Celica in the jungle and the pair were finally reunited after so long. The adventure that followed was one she wouldn’t be forgetting anytime soon but it wasn’t all bad, she’d finally found her friend alive and well and she’d also come across someone who had immediately caught her eye, another chopper that Shadow had introduced her to (not so subtly) as Blade. The pair hit it off rather quickly, she’d seen something in him that she hadn’t seen before, it was refreshing in fact and something she wanted to discover more about. She ended up finding her own place up in Piston Peak, being in a calm environment like this allowed her to find out who she was outside of her gang self.

However, she constantly feared that her life back home would come back to bite her and Blade, she didn’t want to drag him into this and contemplated leaving several times to keep him safe but after a heart to heart with her mother, she told her it was okay to leave, she was still a Quinn no matter what and they’d do their best to keep the drama’s with them rather than her. In order to keep herself busy and do more honest work, she trained to be a firefighter.

Years passed since then and their first son Luca was born, however the tiny chopper decided he wanted to be born at the air base during a storm, Shadow was thankfully there for a visit when Harper went into labor and helped deliver little Luca. Harper unfortunately suffered from postpartum depression shortly after which lasted for almost 5 months, she thinks it was triggered by her worry for Luca as he inherited her family's eye colour, she was afraid someone would recognise this and try hurt or kill him; The medication and support helped and she recovered but it was a long and difficult process. 4 years later they had a daughter named Penny, thankfully Harper didn’t suffer with the depression this time around. She keeps close contact with Shadow and occasionally visits Wren when she can.
